Union Government's LPG Price Hike Raises Costs for Bengaluru's Food and Beverage Sector
The Union Government has announced a significant increase in the price of commercial LPG cylinders, with the cost in Bengaluru reaching an all-time high of ₹3,152 following a ₹993 hike. This price surge is expected to impact the cost of beverages and food items significantly. Beverages are anticipated to become 25% more expensive, while food prices in small and mid-scale eateries are likely to rise by at least 20%. This development is causing concern among hoteliers and restaurant owners in the city, who are already grappling with the challenges of maintaining profitability amid rising operational costs.
