Hagens Berman Co-founder Steve W. Berman Releases Legal Thriller Inspired by Corporate Litigation
Steve W. Berman, co-founder and managing partner of Hagens Berman Sobol Shapiro LLP, has released a new legal thriller titled 'Poison in the System: A Sam Sharpstein Novel.' The book draws inspiration from Berman's extensive 45-year career in complex litigation, where he has represented clients in high-stakes battles against powerful corporations. The novel features a Seattle plaintiffs' attorney, Sam Sharpstein, who investigates two distinct cases. One involves a community in Oregon suffering from high rates of cancer and toxic drinking water due to corporate pollution. The other case centers on a tech company's conversational AI that allegedly led a man to isolation and ultimately to his death. Sharpstein's investigations involve uncovering hidden data, corporate cover-ups, and tracing clues to hold a multibillion-dollar tech giant accountable. This is Berman's third novel featuring the character Sam Sharpstein, following 'Beyond A Reasonable Doubt' and 'Tarnished Hero.'
