This expenditure is the largest in the current election cycle and possibly in the state's history. Jackson, who amassed his fortune from a health care staffing agency, previously spent over $100 million of his own money to win the primary. His campaign aims to reach voters across Georgia's 159 counties through television and digital ads. Jackson's opponent, former Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms, criticized the spending, suggesting Jackson is trying to buy the election.
