CATL and Solarpro Partner for Sodium-Ion Battery Storage in Eastern Europe
CATL and Solarpro Technology AD have announced a strategic cooperation agreement to develop 2 GWh sodium-ion battery storage systems in Eastern Europe. This collaboration aims to advance the adoption of next-generation storage technologies, focusing on the unique advantages of sodium-ion batteries, such as low-temperature performance and long cycle life. The partnership will explore tailored storage solutions for diverse applications across Central and Eastern Europe, with plans to commission the first sodium-ion energy storage project in the region. This initiative builds on previous successful collaborations, including a large-scale battery energy storage project in Bulgaria.
