Massive Sea Lion 'Chonkers' Attracts Crowds at San Francisco Pier
A large Steller sea lion, affectionately named 'Chonkers,' has become a popular attraction at Pier 39 in San Francisco. Weighing around 2,000 pounds, Chonkers is significantly larger than the typical California sea lions found in the area. The sea lion's presence has drawn attention on social media, with many visitors flocking to the pier to catch a glimpse. Steller sea lions are known for their size and can weigh up to 2,500 pounds, with a lifespan of 20 to 30 years.
