Ishamel Handshoe's Legacy Celebrated in Michigan Obituary
Ishamel Handshoe, a long-time resident of Munith, Michigan, passed away at the age of 87 on July 23, 2026. Born in Knott County, Kentucky, Handshoe moved to Michigan at 16 and spent his life working in the Munith area. He was a dedicated member of the Heeney Road Baptist Church, serving as a deacon for many years. Handshoe was known for his skills as a cook, his love for gardening, and his ability to fix almost anything. He is survived by his four children, numerous grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Funeral services are scheduled for July 27, 2026, at Caskey-Mitchell Funeral Home in Stockbridge, with burial to follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
