31-Year-Old Maryland Man Found Shot to Death in Southeast D.C., Homicide Investigation Underway
Reginald Lamont Dorsey, a 31-year-old man from Waldorf, Maryland, was found shot to death on Monday afternoon in Southeast D.C., prompting a homicide investigation by the Metropolitan Police Department. Officers from the Seventh District were flagged down around 3:45 p.m. in the 700 block of Southern Avenue SE after reports of a person on the ground. Upon arrival, they discovered Dorsey unconscious and suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. D.C. Fire and EMS responded to the scene, but Dorsey had already succumbed to his injuries. As of now, investigators have not released any details regarding a potential suspect or the circumstances that led to the shooting. The Metropolitan Police Department is actively seeking information from the public to aid in their investigation.
