HiPP Baby Food Recalled in Central Europe Due to Rat Poison Contamination
HiPP, a Germany-based baby food manufacturer, has initiated a recall of its products across Central Europe after rat poison was discovered in some jars. The affected products were sold in SPAR supermarkets in Austria, Slovakia, and the Czech Republic. Austrian authorities are investigating the incident as 'intentional endangerment of the public.' The contaminated jars, identified by a white sticker with a red circle, were found to contain rat poison, which poses serious health risks. The recall is a precautionary measure, and HiPP has stated that the contamination did not occur at their facilities.
