Northeast Community College Nursing Program Shows Growth and Workforce Impact
Northeast Community College's Nursing Program is experiencing steady enrollment demand and strong student success, significantly impacting Nebraska's healthcare workforce. Recent data presented to the Northeast Community College Board of Governors highlights the program's consistent enrollment, with 134 applications for the upcoming academic year and plans to enroll 61 new students. Over the past seven years, the program has graduated 271 practical nursing students and 302 associate degree nursing students. The program boasts high licensure pass rates, with a 91% pass rate for Practical Nursing students and a 94% pass rate for Registered Nursing students in 2025, surpassing state and national averages. The program's success is attributed to dedicated students, faculty, and clinical partners, as well as investments in advanced simulation technology and expanded clinical partnerships.
