University of Tennessee Receives $130 Million Investment from Dee and Jimmy Haslam to Enhance Education and Research
The University of Tennessee, Knoxville, has received a historic $130 million investment from alumni Dee and Jimmy Haslam. This donation, the largest in the university's history, is aimed at bolstering student success and faculty recruitment, particularly within the Haslam College of Business. The investment will allocate $100 million to the college to attract distinguished faculty and enhance student success initiatives, graduate scholarships, and the undergraduate honors program. The remaining $30 million will support a campus-wide effort to recruit world-renowned faculty across various academic disciplines. This investment builds on the Haslams' long-standing commitment to the university, with their lifetime giving now exceeding $195 million.
