Fetch Report Reveals American Consumers' Shift Towards Comfort and Self-Care
A recent report from Fetch, a rewards app, has unveiled significant trends in American consumer behavior over the past year. The Fetch Finds report, based on $179 billion in transactions, indicates a shift towards comfort and self-care among Americans. Despite a social media culture that emphasizes hustle and achievement, the data shows a preference for relaxation and indulgence. Notably, there has been a 218% increase in loungewear purchases and a 45% rise in weighted blanket sales. Additionally, Americans are consuming more protein-rich foods, with breakfast cereals and granola sales increasing by 69.8% and 45.9%, respectively. The report also highlights a growing interest in tidying up, as sales of household storage bags and cleaning gloves have surged. Interestingly, while plant-based meat alternatives have seen a decline, sales of fresh meats like beef, pork, and chicken have increased.
