Clarksville Offers No-Cost Home Repairs Amid Rising Temperatures
As Clarksville experiences warmer weather, the city has announced a Home Repair Program aimed at assisting low to moderate-income homeowners with essential repairs. The initiative, managed by the Clarksville Neighborhood and Community Services Department, seeks to prevent minor issues from escalating into major problems, particularly as temperatures rise and storms become more frequent. Eligible residents can receive help with various repairs, including fixing air conditioning units, repairing roofs, addressing plumbing issues, and correcting unsafe electrical conditions. The program also covers replacing damaged windows and doors, repairing hazardous flooring, and installing accessibility features such as ramps or grab bars. The city emphasizes the importance of maintaining safe living conditions, especially during seasons when homes are under increased stress.
