The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued warnings for heavy snow and frost across several western and northern U.S. states, including Alaska, Northern California, Southern Oregon, Idaho, and Washington. In Alaska's Central Brooks Range, a Winter Storm Watch is in effect from Saturday evening through Monday evening, with expected snow accumulations of 6 to 12 inches and wind gusts up to 30 mph. The Dalton Highway corridor, including Atigun Pass, is expected to experience hazardous travel conditions due to blowing snow. Meanwhile, Northern California and Southern Oregon are under a Freeze Warning and Frost Advisory, with temperatures potentially dropping as low as 22°F. Northeastern Washington and Northern Idaho are also under a Frost Advisory, with temperatures expected to fall between 29°F and 36°F.
