Satellogic Secures $18M Defense-Monitoring Contract for Satellite Constellation
Satellogic has announced a $18 million contract with an undisclosed international defense customer to provide persistent monitoring capabilities through its NewSat EO constellation. The company has launched a new data product, Aleph Observer, which uses AI to monitor changes on the ground. This contract marks Satellogic's first major agreement since shifting to a persistent-monitoring model. The company plans to launch a new class of satellites, called Merlin, equipped with onboard AI and intersatellite links to enhance data latency and monitoring capabilities.
