Summit Therapeutics Reports Positive Survival Data for Ivonescimab in Lung Cancer Study
Summit Therapeutics has announced favorable results from the Phase III HARMONi trial, which evaluates the bispecific antibody ivonescimab combined with chemotherapy for treating EGFR-mutated non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). The study shows a positive trend in overall survival (OS) for both Asian and Western patients compared to chemotherapy alone. The trial's data supports a Biologics License Application with the FDA, with a decision expected by November 2026. Ivonescimab targets PD-1 and VEGF, aiming to improve treatment efficacy by directing the antibody to tumor tissues. The study highlights ivonescimab's potential as a next-generation cancer therapy.
