FDA Launches TEMPO Pilot to Advance Digital Health Devices for Chronic Disease Management
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has announced the first participant in the Technology-Enabled Meaningful Patient Outcomes (TEMPO) pilot for digital health devices. Dexcom, Inc. has been selected to participate with its Glucose Health Program, which aims to improve health outcomes for Americans managing chronic diseases. The TEMPO pilot is part of the CMS Innovation Center's ACCESS model, which seeks to expand access to technology-supported care options. The pilot will evaluate the real-world performance of digital health technologies and their impact on patient care.
