AlUla Development Company Begins Construction on NUMAJ Hotel in Saudi Arabia
The AlUla Development Company (UDC), a Public Investment Fund company, has initiated the construction of the NUMAJ hotel in AlUla, Saudi Arabia. This 250-key hotel will be operated by Marriott International under the Autograph Collection Hotels brand. The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by key figures such as John Pagano, Managing Director of UDC, and Abeer AlAkel, CEO of the Royal Commission for AlUla. The hotel is designed by GioForma, known for their work on Maraya, and draws inspiration from AlUla’s natural landscapes and cultural heritage. The project aims to open in 2027 and will feature five dining venues, wellness facilities, and integrated business and leisure offerings. It is targeting LEED Gold certification, incorporating sustainable practices like greywater reuse, locally sourced materials, and energy-efficient lighting.
