ESP32-Faikout Module Enables Local Control for Daikin Air Conditioners, Bypassing Cloud Limitations
The ESP32-Faikout module has been developed to provide local control for Daikin air conditioning units, addressing the limitations of the manufacturer's cloud-based WiFi control modules. This module allows users to manage their air conditioning systems through a local web interface, MQTT, and HomeAssistant integration, without the need for an internet connection. The project, spearheaded by Andrews & Arnold Ltd, is open source, allowing others to contribute and sell the module under certain trademark restrictions. The module is designed to offer a more reliable and faster alternative to the cloud-based systems, which have been criticized for their slow performance and complex configuration.
