Minnesota ER Doctors Urge Lawmakers to Enact Stricter Gun Control Following School Shooting
Emergency room doctors in Minnesota are urging state lawmakers to pass stricter gun control laws in the wake of the deadly Annunciation School shooting. Pediatric trauma surgeons, who continue to be affected by the incident, have joined the call for legislative action. Recently, the Minnesota Senate passed a ban on assault-style weapons and high-capacity magazines. However, there is uncertainty about whether the House will address the issue before the legislative session concludes this week.
