Rep. Whitesides Secures Major Investments for Defense and Workforce in NDAA
Rep. George Whitesides (CA-27) has successfully secured significant investments for California's 27th District through the FY2027 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). The legislation, which passed the House Armed Services Committee, includes funding for next-generation aircraft and expanded wildfire detection technology. Whitesides also advocated for measures to combat government corruption, such as banning insider trading linked to military operations. The bill supports thousands of jobs in Northern Los Angeles County, particularly in aerospace manufacturing at Plant 42. Key provisions include funding for the B-21 Raider and F-35 aircraft, as well as initiatives to improve military housing, pay, and healthcare.
