Study Reveals High Levels of Ultraprocessed Foods in Toddler Diets
A recent study has found that four out of five foods sold for toddlers in the United States are ultraprocessed, with nearly half failing to meet nutritional standards set by the World Health Organization. The research, which analyzed over 2,700 products, highlights that many toddler foods are high in sugar and sodium, often without parents being aware. The study was presented at the American Society for Nutrition's annual meeting, emphasizing the need for better labeling and awareness among parents regarding the nutritional content of toddler foods.
