Times Square Hosts 65-Foot Hot Dog Sculpture for America's 250th Anniversary
A 65-foot hot dog sculpture, titled 'Hot Dog: The Second Serving,' has been unveiled in Times Square, New York, as part of the United States' Semiquincentennial celebrations. Created by Brooklyn-based artists Jen Catron and Paul Outlaw, the installation is a reimagined version of their earlier work, 'Hot Dog in the City.' The sculpture, which took approximately 40 people three months to complete, aims to capture the chaotic and vibrant energy of Times Square, reflecting the diverse and dynamic nature of America. The unveiling was accompanied by 'The Most American Pageant Ever!,' a satirical showcase exploring American identity, hosted by the artists and featuring a panel of judges including Curtis Sliwa.
