Lundberg Organic Jasmine White Rice has been recalled nationwide due to the presence of foreign material. The recall, initiated by Wegmans on April 4, affects two-pound bags of the rice, although the specific contaminant has not been disclosed. Lundberg Family Farms, the manufacturer, confirmed the recall as a precautionary measure. The recall is classified as a class II by the FDA, indicating that exposure to the tainted substance could lead to temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences. No illnesses have been reported, and the recall is limited to a single production run of 4,500 cases. The affected rice is sold at major retailers, including Whole Foods, Walmart, and Target.
