Israeli President Herzog's Initiative Aims to Combat Antisemitism and Polarization
Israeli President Isaac Herzog's Voice of the People initiative has completed its first year, focusing on combating antisemitism, polarization, and strengthening Jewish identity globally. The initiative involves 150 Jewish leaders from Israel, the United States, Canada, and other countries, divided into cohorts addressing key issues such as relations between Jews and non-Jews, and identity and heritage. The program was initially announced in April 2023 but launched in January 2025 due to delays caused by geopolitical events and rising global antisemitism. Herzog emphasized the importance of reducing tension within the Jewish community, stating it as a mission of his presidency. The initiative is supported by several organizations, including the World Zionist Organization and the Jewish Agency for Israel, along with philanthropic partners.
