Evansville Police Investigate Fatal Saturday Morning Shooting on Delmar Avenue
A shooting occurred in Evansville, Indiana, on Saturday morning, resulting in one fatality. The Evansville Police Department (EPD) responded to a 911 call reporting a shooting in the 1400 block of Delmar Avenue just before 11:00 a.m. Upon arrival, officers discovered a man with a gunshot wound to the chest. He was transported to a local hospital but later succumbed to his injuries. Authorities have detained a suspected shooter at the scene, and the EPD has indicated that there is no apparent ongoing threat to the general public.
