Tropical Depression Bertha has weakened significantly, with maximum sustained winds now at 35 mph (55 km/h). As of 7:00 PM CDT (0000 UTC), the storm's center was located near latitude 29.9°N and longitude 95.3°W, approximately 10 miles (20 km) north-northeast of Houston, Texas. Bertha is moving westward at 13 mph (20 km/h) and is expected to dissipate later tonight. Tropical storm warnings have been discontinued, and no coastal watches or warnings remain in effect. Elevated water levels and swells along the Louisiana and Texas coastlines are expected to subside after the next high tide cycle. Rainfall totals of 1 to 3 inches, with isolated amounts up to 4 inches, may lead to flash flooding in urban areas along the Texas Gulf Coast and South Texas.
