Ethiopia Looks to Israel's Start-Up Model to Boost AI Sector
Ethiopia is seeking to emulate Israel's 'Start-Up Nation' model to develop its artificial intelligence and broader technology sector. Ethiopian Ambassador Tesfaye Yitayeh highlighted the strong bilateral relationship between Ethiopia and Israel, which has led to increased Israeli investment in Ethiopian agriculture, technology, manufacturing, and infrastructure. Recent diplomatic engagements, including a visit by Israeli President Isaac Herzog and an investment forum during Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar's visit to Addis Ababa, underscore the growing ties between the two nations.
