Timmy the Stranded Whale Rescued After Weeks of Effort
Timmy, a humpback whale stranded in shallow waters near Germany, has been successfully released into the North Sea after weeks of rescue efforts. The operation, funded by two German millionaires, involved transporting Timmy on a water-filled barge. Despite the successful release, experts from the International Whaling Commission (IWC) have expressed concerns about Timmy's health, warning that the stress of the rescue could have long-term effects. The IWC emphasized that the release marks the beginning of Timmy's recovery, not its conclusion, and that monitoring will continue to assess his adaptation to the wild.
