Phu Quoc, Vietnam's largest island, has been recognized as Asia's most beautiful island for the second year in a row, according to readers of the American magazine Condé Nast Traveler. The island scored 95.26 points in the magazine's annual Readers' Choice Awards. This places Phu Quoc ahead of other popular destinations like Boracay in the Philippines, which ranked second, and Palawan, also in the Philippines, at third. Bali, Indonesia, a former top contender, placed sixth this year, with Phuket, Thailand, following at seventh. Phu Quoc has experienced a significant increase in international visitors recently, contrasting with a general decline in tourism in several other major global destinations, including the Maldives.
