Cincinnati's Piatt Park Set for $7.2 Million Upgrade to Enhance Public Space
Cincinnati's Piatt Park, the city's oldest park property, is poised for a $7.2 million upgrade funded by the state of Ohio. The Cincinnati Park Board has approved a plan to lease the park to 3CDC, which will seek state funding for the project. The proposed renovation aims to address issues such as drug use and safety concerns, while enhancing the park's role as a connector between Downtown and Over-the-Rhine. The upgrade includes plans for expanded public plazas, improved pedestrian safety, and the addition of green spaces and a dog park.
