Fort Jackson Implements Visitor Pass Requirement for Family Day and Graduation
Fort Jackson, a major U.S. Army training base located in Columbia, South Carolina, is instituting a new policy requiring visitor passes for guests attending Family Day and graduation events. Starting August 1, 2026, all guests must apply for a visitor pass online before entering the base. The pass will be digitally linked to the applicant's government-issued photo ID, which must be presented at the gate. This policy aims to enhance security and streamline the entry process for these significant events. Fort Jackson officials have advised guests to ensure they select the correct day for their trainee's family day and graduation when applying for the pass.
