Holocaust Memory Faces New Challenges in the Age of AI
As the number of Holocaust survivors dwindles, Jewish leaders and scholars gathered in Jerusalem to discuss the preservation of Holocaust memory in the digital age. The event, organized by the Claims Conference, focused on the challenges posed by artificial intelligence and digital media in maintaining historical accuracy. Dr. Tehilla Schwartz Altshuler highlighted the risks of AI-generated content distorting historical narratives. The conference emphasized the need for responsible AI development to ensure accurate Holocaust education and remembrance, especially as younger generations show gaps in Holocaust knowledge.
