Utah State University Implements Digital Accessibility Standards for Kiosks and Displays
Utah State University (USU) has established comprehensive digital accessibility standards that specifically include digital signage, kiosks, and interactive displays. These standards are part of USU Policy 5208, which aims to ensure accessible digital technology, systems, and content for all users. The university provides a Digital Accessibility Complaint Form for individuals to file formal complaints regarding failures to meet these accessibility requirements. Upon receiving a complaint, an investigator is assigned to conduct a prompt and equitable review. The individual who filed the complaint will then receive a written response detailing the findings and proposed resolutions. Furthermore, individuals have the right to appeal the initial review's findings to the Digital Accessibility Steering Committee for further consideration. For minor issues or general feedback, USU also offers an informal Accessibility Concern Form or direct contact via email.
