Irvine Police Seek Suspect in Tesla Vandalism Spree Affecting 13 Vehicles
The Irvine Police Department is actively searching for a suspect involved in the vandalism of 13 Tesla vehicles over the course of a week. The incidents began last Friday night in a parking garage near Michelson Drive and Carlson Avenue, where surveillance footage captured the suspect spray-painting a Tesla. The suspect returned to the same location later, damaging additional vehicles. The motive behind the vandalism remains unclear, but it coincides with a broader trend of anti-Elon Musk sentiment in California, where some Tesla owners have displayed bumper stickers distancing themselves from Musk. The police are appealing to the public for assistance in identifying the suspect.
