Duke Energy PowerPair Program Offers Up to $9,000 in Rebates for North Carolina Solar and Battery Storage
Duke Energy's PowerPair NC rebates program is providing incentives of up to $9,000 for residential customers in North Carolina who install solar panels paired with certified battery storage solutions. This program, administered by Duke Energy Carolinas (DEC) and Duke Energy Progress (DEP), aims to reduce peak load demands on the electric grid during high-demand periods. Homeowners can stack these utility rebates with the 30% federal investment tax credit (ITC), potentially cutting total installation costs by more than half. To qualify, solar PV systems must meet specific sizing limits, with a maximum rebate cap of 10 kW-DC for solar and 13.5 kWh of usable capacity for batteries. Participants must work with an approved solar installer from Duke's Trade Ally Network.
