Rochester Middle School Students Raise Funds for Classmate in Need
Rochester Middle School students organized a charity run, the Team Hawaii Marathon Monday fundraiser, to support a classmate recovering from a traumatic medical event. Nearly 50 eighth-grade students participated, raising over $4,000 through sponsorships and donations. The event, coinciding with the Boston Marathon, involved students running or walking laps, with others assisting in various roles. The initiative, inspired by a math teacher, aimed to foster community spirit and support for the affected family.
