AI Integration in Pharmacy Education: Opportunities and Challenges Identified
A recent narrative review published in the International Journal of Research and Innovation in Social Science highlights the increasing role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in pharmacy education. The review, which synthesized findings from six studies, indicates that while pharmacy students generally have a moderate awareness of AI and positive attitudes towards its integration, their practical knowledge and competency remain limited. This gap is primarily attributed to insufficient formal education and training in AI within current pharmacy curricula. The studies reviewed were conducted across various countries and involved undergraduate pharmacy students, graduates, and practicing pharmacists.
