Barcelona Hosts European Designer Fashion Summit to Address Industry Challenges
Barcelona is set to host the inaugural European Designer Fashion Summit, coinciding with the 37th edition of the 080 Barcelona Fashion catwalk. The event, organized by the Fundación Academia de la Moda Española (FAME) and the Asociación Creadores de Moda de España (ACME), will take place from April 13 to April 14 at the Tinglados event space in the Port of Barcelona. The summit aims to serve as a platform for strategic reflection and institutional cooperation, focusing on the challenges and opportunities within the designer fashion sector. Supported by the Spanish Ministry of Culture and other major bodies, the event will feature over 20 national and international experts. The program includes ten sessions covering topics such as digital transformation, ecological transition, and cultural redefinition. Key participants include leaders from major fashion weeks and industry experts, who will discuss the heritage and future of designer fashion.
