Prince Harry and Co-Claimants Face Multi-Million Pound Legal Costs After Failed Daily Mail Lawsuit
Prince Harry, along with six other high-profile individuals including Elton John, is facing significant legal costs following their unsuccessful invasion of privacy lawsuit against Associated Newspapers Ltd, the publisher of Britain’s Daily Mail. A High Court in London ruled against the claimants last month, citing a shortage of evidence to support allegations of malpractice, such as illegal phone hacking. The publisher had strongly denied these claims throughout the 11-week trial. The group is now set to learn the initial payment they must make towards Associated Newspapers Ltd's legal costs, which total approximately 34 million pounds ($46 million).
