North Carolina Department of Commerce Awards $660,000 in Employer Engagement Grants to Local Workforce Boards
The North Carolina Department of Commerce has distributed $660,000 in employer engagement grants to 13 local workforce development boards across the state. Governor Josh Stein announced that this initiative aims to strengthen partnerships between employers and the workforce system. The grants will enable local workforce boards to implement innovative strategies for connecting with businesses in their respective areas. These strategies include developing work-based learning programs, such as apprenticeships, tailored to local and regional needs. N.C.
