Georgia Grown Resource Center Opens in Albany to Enhance Local Agriculture
The Georgia Grown Resource Center is opening in Albany, Georgia, as part of a statewide initiative to boost the agriculture industry in Southwest Georgia. The center, located at 112 N. Front St., is a collaboration between the Georgia Department of Agriculture and the Albany-Dougherty Economic Development Commission. It aims to serve as a hub for agricultural producers and businesses, providing tools and support to help them grow and compete. The Albany location is the second of nine planned centers across the state, designed to connect farmers, food manufacturers, processors, agritourism operators, and other agriculture-related businesses with resources that increase visibility and expand market access.
