Modder Uses AI to Enable Intel Bartlett Lake CPU on Consumer Motherboard
A modder has successfully used Claude AI to code a new BIOS, allowing the Intel Bartlett Lake CPU to run on a Z790 motherboard. The Bartlett Lake chip, which features 12 Raptor Cove Performance cores, is typically not compatible with consumer motherboards. However, the modder's innovative use of AI has enabled the chip to boot into Windows on the Asus Z790-AYW OC motherboard. This achievement highlights the potential of AI in modifying and enhancing hardware compatibility, although the modded BIOS does not work with some desktop CPUs originally designed for the motherboard.
