Zikaron BaSalon Expands Global Activity Amid Rising Antisemitism
Zikaron BaSalon, an organization founded in Israel, is expanding its global activities to mark Yom HaShoah, the Holocaust Remembrance Day, as Jewish communities worldwide confront a rise in antisemitism. The organization facilitates intimate gatherings in homes, community centers, campuses, and online spaces, where Holocaust survivors, descendants, educators, and community members come together to share testimonies and reflect on the Holocaust's legacy. This year, the gatherings are particularly significant due to the increasing antisemitic incidents and hostility faced by Jewish communities globally. The initiative aims to reinforce Jewish identity and community resilience by passing on the testimonies to younger generations. In the UK, gatherings are being held in cities like London and Manchester, while in Europe, the organization continues to grow through partnerships and educational work.
