San Francisco Agencies Rescue Lost Sea Lion Pup Found Wandering Streets
A sea lion pup, later named Irving, was discovered wandering the streets of San Francisco, several blocks from the ocean. The San Francisco Recreation and Parks Department, along with the San Francisco Police Department, coordinated efforts to rescue the animal. The incident occurred near 48th Avenue and Irving Street, where officers responded to a call about the sea lion. After a coordinated effort involving multiple agencies, the pup was safely captured and placed in a crate. The Marine Mammal Center is currently evaluating Irving's condition to determine why he strayed from his natural habitat.
