Freedom 250 CEO Highlights Role of Sports in America's 250th Anniversary Celebrations
As the United States approaches its 250th anniversary in 2026, Freedom 250 CEO Keith Krach emphasizes the unifying role of sports in the celebrations. The initiative, part of a broader national observance, includes a series of high-profile sporting events such as a UFC fight on the White House lawn and the Freedom 250 Grand Prix in Washington, D.C. Krach, appointed by the President to lead the anniversary celebrations, believes that sports epitomize American values like courage, hard work, and innovation. The Freedom 250 Grand Prix, set to take place on August 23, will feature IndyCars racing through a temporary street circuit near the National Mall, marking the first auto race on this historic site. The event is expected to draw over 100,000 spectators and will be free to the public.
