Coca-Cola's Fairlife Subsidiary Hit by Ransomware Attack, Data Stolen
Coca-Cola has confirmed that its dairy subsidiary, Fairlife, was targeted in a ransomware attack that led to the theft of company data. The attack, which temporarily halted production at Fairlife's U.S. facilities, was disclosed in a Form 8-K filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. The Anubis ransomware group claimed responsibility, stating they encrypted servers and stole 1 terabyte of data. Coca-Cola has not verified the volume or nature of the stolen data but has resumed most production operations. The company is working to restore affected systems and has engaged cybersecurity specialists while notifying law enforcement.
