New Mexico Sues DOJ for Access to Unredacted Jeffrey Epstein Files, Citing Investigation Delays
New Mexico has filed a lawsuit against the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) seeking access to unredacted files related to Jeffrey Epstein. The state alleges that the DOJ is obstructing its investigation into Epstein's activities at Zorro Ranch by withholding crucial documents. The lawsuit, filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, argues that the DOJ's refusal to provide these files is delaying justice for survivors of Epstein's alleged crimes. The DOJ has stated that it has provided some files but is restricted from sharing others due to privacy protections. New Mexico's Attorney General, Raúl Torrez, has emphasized the importance of these documents for identifying potential victims, witnesses, and facilitators involved in the alleged crimes at the ranch.
