Cybersecurity Firm Discovers Backdoor in Chinese-Made Zbtlink Routers
Cybersecurity firm VulnCheck has identified a backdoor in routers manufactured by the Chinese company Zbtlink. The backdoor, found in the firmware of 20 router models, allows the devices to communicate with cloud servers in China, potentially giving the company access to other devices on the network. This discovery raises concerns about the security of Chinese-made routers, echoing longstanding fears among cybersecurity experts and lawmakers. The backdoor could be used for unauthorized access and control, posing a significant risk to network security.
