Texas Establishes Nation's First Bulk Purchase Agreement for AI Governance
Darwin AI, in partnership with the Texas Department of Information Resources (DIR), has announced the nation's first Bulk Purchase Agreement (BPA) for AI governance. This agreement, awarded under Carahsoft Bulk Purchase Agreement BP2026-0015, makes Darwin's enterprise AI governance platform available to public sector organizations at state-negotiated pricing. The DIR's Bulk Purchase Program allows the state to secure volume discounts for eligible customers, exempting these bulk purchases from competitive solicitation and purchasing threshold requirements. This initiative aims to streamline the procurement of AI governance solutions for Texas state agencies, local governments, public school districts, and public higher education institutions. Organizations in other states can also access this pricing through Interstate Cooperation Contracts (ICCs), extending the agreement's reach beyond Texas.
