Sally A. Bolton Passes Away After Battle with Cancer at Age 72
Sally Ann Bolton, a resident of East Dubuque, Illinois, passed away at the age of 72 after a courageous battle with cancer. She died at Mercy One Dubuque Medical Center on August 2, 2026. Born on June 7, 1954, in Chicago, Illinois, Sally was the daughter of Robert J. and Mary Jo Quillin. She was previously employed at Thermo-Fisher in Dubuque, Iowa. Sally is survived by her three sisters, Janet Blythe, Mary Lumley, and Lori Bourdon, as well as several nieces, nephews, and a special son, John Strommer, and granddaughter, Brooklyn. Known for her vibrant personality, Sally was a dedicated worker and a passionate fan of the Chicago White Sox. A visitation and prayer service will be held on August 8, 2026, at the Miller Funeral Home in East Dubuque, followed by a Celebration of Life at R. Place.
